Born 1934: George Segal, actor. His film comedies include "Where's Poppa?" (1970), "The Owl and the Pussycat" (1970), "A Touch of Class" (1973), and "Fun With Dick and Jane" (1977). On TV, "Just Shoot Me" (1977-).

Born 1942: Peter Tork, Monkee, seen in the cult favorite, but short-lived TV comedy series, "The Monkees" (1966-68).

1972: "Grease" is the musical-comedy and it opened on Broadway.
